4HOPE Haven will soon be starting a bible study group called Healing Hugs.\u00a0 I was very excited about this name when God revealed it to me, because of its significance to my own healing.\u00a0 You’ve probably heard me say that healing is loud- and its true.\u00a0 When you are healing, you encounter a range of emotions that requires some type of response that is usually loud.\u00a0 Some of these loud responses may be cries, screams, yells, singing, noises, talking, or humming.\u00a0 Every healing journey produces a sound, and my sound was a hug.\u00a0 Now, the hug itself didn’t make a sound, but the results of the hug was very loud.\u00a0 Whenever I felt unsafe or overwhelmed in my healing, I sought out a hug from someone I trusted and someone whose energy comforted me.\u00a0 During these times, I needed someone who saw my pain and valued me enough to openly and willingly invite me into their personal space.\u00a0 Someone who kept me from falling apart because their embrace held the broken parts of me together. Their hug was powerful enough to mend me back together. With each hug, a tiny part of me was healed.\u00a0 My body was able to relax and I was able to exhale a little bit more of the pain. I was able to gain one more ounce of strength to keep going.\u00a0 Someone willingly opened themselves up to give their love and positive energy to another who didn’t have anything but hurt, pain, and shoulder staining tears to give back.\u00a0 And those hugs held great power for both people and spoke very loudly.<\/p>\n
Me: “I need you.\u00a0 I am tired and in pain.\u00a0 I feel overwhelmed and alone. Will you share your personal space with me?\u00a0 I need to feel seen and feel accepted in this moment”.<\/p>\n
Hug: “I see you.\u00a0 I am willing to connect with you. I am here to provide comfort to you. I accept you and I care about you. You can rest here and be reassured that you are not alone”.<\/p>\n
Healing Hugs… a spiritual covenant trading pain and hurt for genuine love and healing power.\u00a0 Encompassing God’s Word to create a nurturing, safe, and sacred space to HEAL OUT LOUD.<\/p>\n
We see you…\u00a0 We want to connect with you…\u00a0 We are here to provide comfort to you… We accept you and care about you… You can rest here and be reassured that you are not alone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
