So, I’ve finally taken some time to sit with my thoughts about this weekend. It was a simple and relaxing weekend; but even in the simple moments, God can do big things. A simple trip to a store turned into a life-changing encounter. God scheduled a divine appointment between 2 sisterfriends and the Ultimate Rich Auntie, Tabitha Brown. Our 4HOPE Haven (4HH) Founder and Chief Administrator were in Ulta Beauty looking at some products and suddenly, we saw “Auntie Tab” and her entourage walking through the store. We immediately went “fangirl” on her, and she heard us talking. In true auntie fashion, Tabitha Brown walked over to us and started talking, “Well Hello There!” The conversation was so effortless and inviting. No celebrity condescending tones but instead sweet spirited and lighthearted. Tabitha Brown is definitely all of who she (and we) thinks she is. The conversation turned toward our 4HOPE Haven shirts and the organization overall. She provided a platform, right in the middle of the store, to show and share our brand. She provided an opportunity for us to immediately reach over 4.5M people through social media and online news platforms to tell them about the good works behind 4HOPE Haven. And to now wake up to a news article (link provided below) that specifically highlights Tabitha’s conversation with us about 4HOPE Haven??!!!! We are BEYOND excited!
Two lessons that I’ve learned from this encounter:
(1) God is VERY STRATEGIC AND INTENTIONAL!
(2) When God tells you to prepare, don’t ask why. Just prepare! Our Chief Marketer just sent us a message that she received at a conference that she is currently attending- “Opportunities never wait for preparedness.” God’s confirmations are constant when you are in alignment to look for them.
God never does anything by happenstance. It was all for a purpose which is soon to be revealed. Proverbs 18:16 states, “A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” This is God’s perfect example! While I am questioning my gifts, God is making room for them. While I am questioning what God has already affirmed, God is making plans to bring my gifts before great (wo)men. God gave me the vision for 4HOPE Haven and gave me instructions of who to bring along with me. I know that He has great plans for 4HH and our team. And with great humility, love, and service, we are patiently waiting for those doors to open. Please believe me when I say that we love each and every woman that God puts in our path. 4HH stands on the principles of providing HOPE through Healing, Opportunity, Purpose, and Empowerment. We stand on God’s Word and His Truth and know that every step we take on this walk is divinely appointed.
Thank you, God, for using Tabitha Brown to open this door. It is our prayer that our encounter was just as much of a blessing to her and her life as it was to ours. It is our prayer that God uses this encounter to open doors that we never could have opened on our own. Our faith stands strong, and our belief in what we do stands solid. God will always be our foundation, so that when God guides those 4.5M + women to stand with 4HH, we will all be standing on a solid foundation.
